Other vision aidsArtificial eyes and tools to help if you have low vision

A note about full eye exams. A full eye exam (the kind that checks your prescription) is covered every 2 years — unless you need it sooner for medical reasons.

No approval needed

For everyday eye care — like a regular eye exam or new glasses — you don’t need approval first. Just go to a Superior Vision eye doctor.

If you need more involved care (like surgery for an eye condition), that may need approval. Your eye doctor will work with us on that — you don’t have to.

Tips for your Eye Care

Get an eye exam regulary

Ask questions. It’s okay to ask why a treatment is needed and what to expect.

Take care of your glasses

If you need a new pair sooner than expected, talk to us — we’ll see what we can do.

Tell us if anything changes

If an eye doctor asks you to pay or sends you a bill, call us. You shouldn’t be paying for covered care.
