Your Flex Benefit
Getting the Most From Your Flex Benefit
Your plan includes an annual Flex benefit — money loaded onto your card to help cover out-of-pocket costs for dental, hearing, vision, and fitness expenses. This is in addition to the benefits you already receive from Elderplan.
Your Flex Benefit Card works at any provider that accepts Visa, so you have the freedom to use it wherever you get care. No activation is needed. If you already have your card, it’s ready to use in 2027.
Always use your Elderplan benefits first. Your Flex Benefit is designed to help cover what’s left over after your plan benefits are applied, not to replace them. If your FlexBenefit balance doesn’t cover the full cost, you are responsible for paying the difference.
Your Flex balance is available for the full benefit year. Use it before December 31, or any remaining funds will expire. Your Flex allowance is separate from your OTC allowance — the two cannot be combined or transferred between each other.
