Day Programs
Day Programs That Support You and Your Caregiver
If you or your caregiver would benefit from structured time outside the home, your plan covers two types of day programs that provide care, support, and opportunities to stay engaged.
Whether you need medical supervision during the day or are looking for social activities, nutritious meals, and a chance to connect with others, your Care Management Team can help determine which program best meets your needs and arrange the services that are right for you.
Adult Day Health Care
- A medically supervised day program at an approved facility. Services include medical care, nursing, nutrition, social services, rehabilitation therapy, dental, pharmacy, and planned leisure activities.
- Best for members who need ongoing medical or rehabilitation services during the day.
- Prior authorization required.
Social Day Care
- A structured day program in a protective, non-medical setting. Services include socialization, supervision, personal care, and nutrition.
- Best for members who need companionship, supervision, and a safe place to spend part of the day.
- Prior authorization required.
Both programs give your caregivers the needed respite and give you meaningful, engaging time with others.
