Elderplan Pharmacy Network: Convenience and Savings
With Elderplan, you can access over 3,000 network pharmacies, helping you save money and easily fill your prescriptions close to home. Our pharmacy network covers Greater Metropolitan New York and exceeds Medicare’s requirements for access in your area. You can find a pharmacy near you using our Pharmacy Look-Up Tool.
Elderplan also offers nationwide in-network prescription coverage. This means you’ll pay the same for your prescriptions at an in-network pharmacy, even if you’re outside our service area while traveling.
Mail-Order Prescription Benefit
If a pharmacy is too far away, you can take advantage of our convenient mail-order pharmacy benefit, which delivers prescriptions straight to your door. In some cases, mail-order prescriptions can save you more money than visiting a pharmacy in person.
Out-of-Network Coverage
In certain situations, we will cover prescriptions filled at an out-of-network pharmacy. These circumstances include:
- Medical emergencies or urgent care.
- If you are traveling outside of the service area and need your medication.
- When no network pharmacy within a reasonable distance offers 24-hour service.
- If a network pharmacy does not regularly stock your medication.
- Vaccines administered by your doctor’s office that aren’t covered by Medicare Part B.
If you use an out-of-network pharmacy for these reasons, you may need to pay the full cost upfront and then submit a claim for reimbursement.
Submitting Claims for Out-of-Network Prescriptions
If you need to submit a claim for reimbursement after using an out-of-network pharmacy, send your completed claim form and receipt to:
